33rd Annual Core Sound Decoy Festival has been postponed until 2021

Guild members, friends, family and supporters:

After much consideration, the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild has decided to postpone the 33rd Annual Core Sound Decoy Festival.

Vendors/exhibitors are welcome to set-up in the parking lot of the H. Curt Salter building, located at 1574 Harkers Island Road, both Saturday, December 5th, and Sunday, December 6th, and no reservations will be made. Please be considerate of others and use the least amount of space possible.

The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center will have tailgating on the museum grounds Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 4th – 6th, and welcome anyone who may be interested to participate. For more information on Waterfowl Weekend at the museum, including how to make your tailgating reservation, please contact CSWM&HC at 252.728.1500 or email museum@coresound.com.

The Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild will continue to host the Core Sound Decoy Carving Competition for 2020. The Guild is excited to host the IWCA Working Decoy Championship this year! Mail-in entries will be accepted. The competition will be a closed door event and decoys entered will be available for pick-up immediately after judging. Please contact Competition Chairman Davis Springle for details (252) 342-9811.

This year’s Vintage Decoy Competition will be held at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center and will be hosted by the Carolina Decoy Collectors Association.

Thank you for your continued support and be sure to visit www.decoyguild.com or find us on Facebook for updates as more information becomes available!
